THE EDUCATION BOARD
Sir, —The members of the Education Board appear to be very disturbed over the naughty Clutha Leader reporting adverse comments of their administration. If they had abstained from publicising this, nqt so many people would have known anything about it. They have truly done a great work. Take, for instance, the deplorable state of the sanitary arrangements at the Clinton School; also, girls having to clean conveniences and do general cleaning at the Clutha Valley School; Our Clutha School is falling to pieces, and a. great percentage of the teachers’ residences throughout the board’s district are surely a monument to the great job these young men are doing.—l am, etc.. Uncle Sandy. Soutn Otago, July 23.
