FORCED EVACUATION

FOREIGNERS IN AUSTRIA TERMS OF RUSSIAN DECREE LONDON. July 8. The Russians have ordered 54,000 native Germans and other foreigners in the Russian zone in Austria to leave the country by 6 a.m. to-day, says th.e Vienna correspondent of the Assoch ated Press. Army lorries and also vehicles belonging to the Austrian Communist Party last night waited outside the homes of non-Austrians to facilitate the departures. Those expelled were permittted to carry only 301 bof baggage. They are being sent to the French zone in Germany. The Austrian Government claim? that the order contradicts the LondonMoscow declarations on Austria, and argues that only those without Austrian citizenship and persons who came to Austria since the Anschluss should be expelled. The expulsions will mean a serious loss of harvest labour. The British. American, and French authorities have made it clear that no similar order will be issued in their zones.
