BRITAIN’S FIRMNESS
NO VISAS AT PRESENT (Rec. 11 p.m.) NEW YORK. July 8. Dr Stephen Wise, a member of the Executive Board of the Jewish Agency for Palestine, stated that the British Embassy in Washington refused him permission to visit Palestine. He said: “The refusal means that the British Government will seek to conceal behind an iron curtain the truth of British misconduct in Palestine.” The British Information Service said no visas were being issued for Palestine at present.
