PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Green Island Borough Council, at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on Tuesday, the 25th day of June, 1946,. passed the following resolution, viz.:— 1. That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926," and every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves (so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a Special Order) to raise a Special Loan of Eight Thousand, One Hundred Pounds (£8100), to be known as " Water Supply Loan, 1946,” for the purpose of improving the Water Supply of the Borough of Green Island. 2. That the security for the interest and repayment of the said “ Water Supply Loan 1946," be an annually recurring Special Rate of Two Pence Halfpenny (2)d) in the Pound (£) on the rateable value, on the basis of the annual value, of all rateable property in the Borough of Green Island, comprising the whole of the said Borough. 3. That the term of the said “ Water Supply Loan, 1946," be twenty (20) years from the first day of August, 1946. 4. That the said “ Water Supply Loan. 1946," be repaid by the annual redemption of debentures in the years and of the amounts set out in the Schedule hereto:— Schedule of Redemption 5. That the said “ Water Supply Loan, 1946," be raised by the issue of debentures under “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926,” and that each such debentureshall bear interest not exceeding Three Pounds Five Shillings (£3 ss) per centum per annum payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August, in each and every year during the currency of the Loan until the said Loan is fully repaid. 6. That the corporate seal be affixed to all such debentures and that all such debentures and relative coupons be signed by the Mayor and the Borough Treasurer, but so that their respective signatures to the coupons may be lithographed. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Green Island, on Tuesday, the 30th day of July, 1946, at 7 o’clock p.m., for Confirmation as a Special Order.
