PERSONAL
At the monthly meeting of the Oamaru Harbour Board yesterday, the chairman (Mr W. M. Cooper) referred to the death of Mr E. S. Brewster. During his lifetime, said Mr Cooper, Mr Brewster had taken an active part in public body affairs and had contributed his full share. Regret was also expressed at the sudden death of Mr S. W. Lane, of Lyttelton, the secretary of the New Zealand Harbour Board Employees’ Union, who was recently in Oamaru on waterfront duties.
