. MR J. W. MASSEY SELECTED (PA) AUCKLAND. July 8. The sitting member, Mr J. N. Massey, has been chosen as the official National Party candidate for the Franklin electorate. There were two other nominees. FAMOUS NAME RE-APPEARS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 8. Mr J. E. L. Vogel, of Lower Hutt, was to-’night selected as the National Party candidate for the Hutt seat. There were two other nominees. Mr Vogel is a grandson of Sir Julius Vogel, who twice held the office of Premier in the seventies.
