FAIR TO FINE Forecast for Otago.—The following offL cial weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—There is an anti-cyclone south-east of New Zealand, and a trough to the north. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Light to moderate north-easterly winds predominating; weather fair to fine and cool. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather In Dunedin. —There was another hard frost in Dunedin yesterday morning, the minimum temperature on the grass being 21 degrees, representing 9.3 degrees of frost. The maximum temperature recorded was 44.7 degrees, ahd the minimum 31.3 degrees. A heavy haze enveloped the city, and in the lower lying areas remained until late in the morning. There was a total of 7hr 12min of sunshine, and no rain was registered. There was a light wind from the north-east. The barometer was steady, the midnight reading being 30.21 inches (1023 millibars).
