Clutha River Dredge.—There is no washup to report, dredging having been limited on account of the power shortage.
Scott Bros., produce merchants and commission agents, registered egg and onion merchants, report:—Eggs: Dunedin area selling values are—heavy 3s Id, standard 2s lid, medium 2s 9d, pullets' 2s 4d, preserved 2s 3Jd. Pay-out values foi - consignments received for week ended July 5 will be—heavy 3s Id, standard 2s lid, medium 2s 9d, preserved 2s 3£d, pullets 2s 4d, plus 3d dozen subsidy. Butter: We are licensed to handle consignments. Value to is 2d per lb. Poultry: A keen demand for birds at the following prices—hens, light condition, 3s to 3s Gd each 1 ; medium condition, 3s 9d to 4s Gd each; heavy breeds, 5s to 6s Gd each; cockerels, 3s to 9s each; roosters, 2s to 3s Gd each; geese, 4s to Gs each; turkeys—young birds to Is Gd lb; older birds, Is to Is 3d per lb live weights; ducks, 2s Gd to 5s each. Potatoes: Government values, F.A.Q., Whites £8 ss, King Edwards and Sutton’s £8 15s, f.0.b., s.i. nearest port. Tabie carrots and parsnips wanted at peak rates. Onions: New Csnterburys, 19s cwt. Whole maize and maize meal: Small Stocks available. Oyster grit and shell meal, 6s 6d per 1001 b bag: Lucerne meal, lGs per sack. Meatmeal: We have light stocks of several brands. New season's chickfood now in store, Limited supplies of barley dust. Molasses: 4 gallons 13s, 8 gallons 255. Lucerne and clover hay in store. Prices on application. Fowl crates supplied on loan.
