MEETINGS RESUMED

(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, July 6. The International Lawn Tennis Federation, at its first general meeting since March, 1939, decided that the hawn tennis associations of the following nations had ceased to be members of the federation:—Bulgaria, Finland. Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Libya Rumania, and Siam. This follows the precedent set in 1919. Applications from these nations for reinstatement will be decided on thenmerits Official recognition has beem withdrawn from championships in Finland and Germany. Austria's application for membership has been deferred until the general meeting in Paris on March 21. 1947. Chevalier Faul de Borman, of Belgium, was unanimously elected president for the interim period by the 23 nations represented at the meeting.
