SIMILAR CONDITIONS PREVAIL Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 .hours, was issued at,s p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation. —An anti-cyclone centred to south-east covered the South Island. Forecast to * 5 p.m. to-day.—Winds light to moderate and variable, easterlies predominating; weather fair to line, temperatures cold. Further Outlook.—Fair to fine. Weather in Dunedin.—The sun shone brightly!’ in Dunedin during the week-end, Saturday and yesterday each having 8 hours of sunshine. On Saturday there was a fresh north-east breeze and the maximum temperature was 48.1 degrees the air minimum being 35.4. .There was a hard frost yesterday morning, the minimum grass temperature being 21.3 degrees, representing 9 degrees of frost. The minimum air temperature was 30.8 degrees. Conditions during the day were calm and pleasant, the maximum temperature being 45.9 degrees. The barometer remained fairly steady ove r the two days and at midnight yesterday recorded 30.25 inches (1024 millibars). ,
