Ministerial The Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones, will be engaged on departmental business in Dunedin to-day. and will leave to-morrow by air on his return to Wellington. Mr W. A. Pope, of Christchurch. Grand Master of the Loyal Orange Institution, was. a visitor to Dunedin over the week-end. Major D. O. Donald, British political agent in South Waziristan, who was kidnapped by tribesmen on the Northwest Frontier recently, and two of his agency staff who were kidnapped with him. have been released unharmed. ‘ Passengers who left for the north oy air on Saturday were:—Mr D. Langley. Bishop Lyons, and Mr W. Norman for Christchurch; Mrs W. J. Dalton, Mr 11. Mandeno. Miss R. MrLay. Miss A. Earle, Miss G. Wilson, Mr L. S. Alsweiler, for Wellington; Miss M. Stewart Miss M. T. Gavin, Bishop Liston. and Mrs F. J. Gavin for Auckland.
