COMMUNITY SING
FOOD FOR BRITAIN The weekly community sing will be held in the Strand Theatre to-morrow, commencing at 12.15. The Proceeds will again be devoted to the Food for Britain Campaign. Gifts of foodstuffs from the dominions arc distributed to hospitals, sanatoria, cripples, homes tor children, poor and needy people (including old age pensioners and people living alone), and others. Donations may be sent to Mr J. F Himburg at Begg's. or telephoned to the Strand Theatre (13-379) A special attraction this week will be provided by Mrs Avas McFarlane, a member ol tils Mellotones Ladies' Quartet, who will be heard singing " Old Refrain,” “ Rosary, and " Life Brings a Song.” with violin obbligatos by Miss Joan Gardiner. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will lead the si jig, and will be assisted bv Mr A. H. Pettitt at the piano. Flowers and goods will be welcome for the stall.
