PRODUCTION MORE VITAL R.S.A. VIEW ENDORSED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, June 11. In the opinion of the Leader of the Opposition, Mr S. G. Holland, the Dominion conference of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association acted wisely when it decided that increased production was more important than victory celebrations in New Zealand. “ Having seen something of the conditions in Britain and realising how much time is wasted in statutory holi- v days, I am convinced that more production is necessary .to feed the starving world,” Mr Holland said this morning. “ Further holidays would be quite out of place in New Zealand." Mr Holland added that instead of feeding grain td animals it was more advantageous to utilise it in breadmaking. Eating more bread was more effective economy. . ;
