JEWISH CRITICISM
BRITAIN AND FRANCE BLAMED (Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 11. Qr Stephen Wise, president of the American Jewish Congress, in a speech said he had undisguised contempt for the British and French Governments for “ conniving at or at least sanctioning ” the Grand Mufti’s flight from France to Syria. The Mufti was a comrade of Hitler, Goebbels, and Goering, and now he had the way clear to renew his crimes against the Jewish people while 10,000 Jews remained in Germany as displaced persons. Dr Wise demanded that the Council of Foreign Ministers grant the Jews the status of a nation when it reconvened.
