CONDITIONS CHANGEABLE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at J p.m yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An extensive depression covers the Tasman Sea and Southern New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate to strong westerly winds; a few showers in the area at first, but weather mainly fair; temperatures moderate. ' Further Outlook.— Changeable and colder. Weather in Dunedin.—After showers of rain overnight, registering O.OSin, bright sunshine and mild temperatures made for pleasant conditions in Dunedin yesterday. There was a warm north-west wind, and the maximum temperature was sGdeg. The minimum air temperature was 43.6 deg., and the minimum grass temperature was 37 2deg. The sunshine recorded during the day totalled 4hr 12min. The barometer continued to fall slowly and at midnight stood at 29.40 in (996 millibars).
