GOOD STONE SUPPLY
HARBOUR BOARD QUARRY
Mr A. R. Low (foreman of worksl reported to the Oamaru Harbour Board yesterday morning that the clearing of the board’s quarry had reached the toe of the last tunnel shot, and that there was a lot of good stone in sight. They had been working there for 18 months, and there was really a good showing. To Mr MacMillan, Mr Low said there was a weakness showing along the foot of the apron to the mole. The late Mr Lee (formerly consulting engineer) had urged that the foot of the mole should be protected. „ Asked by the chairman (Mr Cooper) whether he would prepare a report on the matter for the next meeting, Mr Low said he would be pleased to do so. Mr Coober: We appreciate what you are doing for'the harbour.
