FINES OF £IOO IMPOSED (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Mar. 29. Fines totalling £IOO were imposed to-day by Mr A. M. Goulding, S.M.. on four defendants who admitted breaches of the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations. ~ , , “ It would appear that some vendors believe that now that the war is over they can do this sort of thing with impunity,’! said Detective-Sergeant J. Thompson, who conducted the prosecution. “I am instructed that a very close check is being made and that prosecutions w’ill follow.”
