BOXING
EXECUTIVE MEETING
A meeting of the executive ot the Otago Boxing Association was held last evening, and was attended by Mr R. S Glendining (chairman). Messrs Kilinartin, Glover, S Brown, R. M. Morris A G Edwards. C. E. Brown. R. H. Fulcher. V Parker, H. W. Cockerill. E. G. Williams, R. A. Bagno, J. Kerr, J. A. Galbraith, W. D. Allan, and the secretary (Mr F. Paape). One resignation was received, and Mr C Maratt was elected to fill the vacancy. The same officials as for the previous contest were appointed for the BolgerEnright match on Monday night The next professional boxing contest will be held on Monday. April 15, and there will be no further bout until two weeks after E The r treasurer reported that there were only 33 outstanding subscriptions, which was considered satisfactory for so early in the season. Messrs C. E. Brown and R. M. Morris were appointed to represent Otago at the amateur contests in Waimate on April 6. An effort will be made to get amateur boys from turther north for the next contest. The matter of bringing over Australian boxers was fully discussed, and was left in the hands of the Match Commit tee, with power to act. It is hkely that Australian welter-weights will be brought over by the Otago Association for a date early in May. ___
