QUALIFYING ROUNDS Eighty-seven entries were received for the Dunedin women's golf championships, which were commenced on the St. Clair links yesterday. In addition to full representation from the local clubs, there were entries from Auckland. Masterton. Hamilton. Gore, and Invercargill. Conditions for the two qualifying rounds yesterday were good and there was only a light breeze from the south-west. In the senior championship the qualifying list was headed by Mrs Lawless (Otago), Mrs Salisbury (Queen’s Park), and Mrs McLean'(St. Clair) with scores of 176. Senior Event The following qualified in the senior championship:—Mrs Lawless (Otago) 86—90—176. Mrs Salisbury (Queen's Park) 88—83—176. Mrs McLean (St Clair) 90—86—176.
