OTAGO BRIDGE CLUB
The annual general meeting of the Otago Bridge Club was held in the club rooms, A.M.P. Building, on Monday, Mr J. L. Anderson presiding over a large attendance. , , „ The annual report reviewed the main events of the past year, which was a very successful one, and (ho balance sheet showed that the finances of the club were in a healthy state. Two matches against Croekford s Club were played during the year, the visiting team winning in each case. In the New Zealand Pairs Championship, played during the year, Mr and Mrs A. P. Johnston were close runners-up. while several other local pairs also made a creditable showing. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr N. ‘Allan; vicepresident, Mr J. L. Mclndoe; tournament director, Mr G. B. P. Wilson; committee Mesdames D. Black and O. Justice, Miss D. Matthews, and -Mr IT. A. Salmon; secretary-treasurer, Mr J. P. Dooley; auditor, Mr R. S. M. Sinclair.
