“THE AMAZING MR ROOKLYN”
Mr Rooklyn is an accomplished illusionist, and his entertainment in His Majesty’s Theatre last night was enjoyed to the full by another large audience. The skill with which ne presented his various achievements, notable among which were a modern version of “Sawing the Lady in Half,” and “Cheating the Gallows,” won him the warm appreciation of his audience, which was obviously relieved when his “ victims ” survived their ordeal. His mastery of sleight-of-hand was also a feature of the performance. An attractive variety programme was also presented by Mr Edward James, the Selway Sisters, Miss Florence Gold and Mr Jerry Keogh, Miss Alto Lowe and a dainty and attractive ballet. “ The Amazing Mr Rooklyn ” will be presented again to-night and to-mor-row.
