SYNDICALISM TRIED
MOTOR WORKS AT LYONS The Berliet motor works at Lyons is being run by the workmen on syndicalist lines, states the Labour correspondent of The Times. The General Council of the Trades Union Congress has decided to make an investigation into “ this very interesting experiment.” The suggestion that the council might like to do so came from a Government source. It was ventilated at a recent meeting of the Anglo-French trade union council in London and when a return meeting is held in Paris, about the end of February, an opportunity will be sought for inspecting the works and the system of management. The works are producing lorries.
