DEVELOPMENT ’IN PACIFIC HONOLULU. *Tan. 2. Mr Maury Maverick, who is en route to Washington after a tour of New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and China, said he would recommend to President Truman a programme of Pacific development to aid American business. Mr Maverick, who is chairman oi the Smaller War Plants Corporation, declared: “We need a firm and generous policy. I want to coin a new word for the Pacific —‘Ada,’ meaning closest co-operation between British, dominion, and American interests. The United States must keep its installations An the Pacific.”
