BELMER, M.A. 'Bible truth THE PRESENT-DAY UNIVERSAL UNBELIEF AND DARKNESS IN RELATION TO THE TRUE TEACHING OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES CLEARLY FORETOLD IN BIBLE PROPHECY.’ 1. THAT the Lord Jesus Clirist will return again to earth to fulfil the Lord's prayer ("Thy Kingdom Come”) by abolishing every existing system of human Government (Rev. 11:15); that Christ Himself would become King of the whole earth (Zech. 14:0) ruling from Jerusalem (Micah. 4:2); that Christ’s true followers throughout the ages resurrected from the dead and immortalised, will be His Government (Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 20:6), possessing Almighty power to enforce the Divine law' in' righteousness and wisdom (Rev 2:26-27); abolishing War (Isa. 2:4) and fulfilling the song of the Angels at the birth of Jesus. “ GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, AND ON EARTH PEACE, GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN (Luke 2:14). 2. THAT the prophecies of the Bible say : (a) “The time will come when they’will not endure sound doctrine —they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Tim. 4:3-4). (b) “ The way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Pet. 2:1-2). (c) " Darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people ’’ (Isaiah 60:2). (d) "That when Christ comes He will destroy the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations” (Isa. 25:7). Jer. 16;19). (See also Luke 17:26-30, Gen. 6:12, Luke 18:8). „ „ .3) THAT as the great truths of the Bible . referred to in Section 1 are neither believed in nor taught in the Churches of Christendom the universal darkness and unbelief foretold in Section 2 actually exists to-day—fulfil-ment of prophecy therefore proves the Eible to be the Word of God. N.B. —Consider the fact that the Jews rejected Jesus at His first coming because “ they knew not the voices of the Prophets ” (Acts 13:27), for the same reason the second coming of Christ will come “AS A SNARE ON ALL THEM THAT DWELL ON THE FACE OF THE WHOLE EARTH ” (Luke 21:35, 1 Thess. 5:1-5).
