FORT ROYAL SUCCESSFUL (P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 1. The first day of the Stratford Racing Club’s meeting was held in fine weather to-day. The track was fast, and there was a large crowd. The totaiisator handled £67,5m, compared with £55,414 last year. After the Freyberg Hurdles the judicial stewards met, and after hearing evidence, they suspended R. J.
