GIFT FOOD FOR BRITAIN;
STILL LYING IN WAREHOUSE (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, I)ec. 31. Nearly 200 tons of food from Australia and South Africa sent to Britain for Christmas as a gift is still lying in a Plymouth warehouse, says the Daily Telegraph. The Lord Mayor oj Plymouth sent two telegrams to 'the Ministry of Food and asked for disposal instructions. He at first was informed that a shortage of staff was preventing distribution until after Christmas, and then that nothing could be done until further information was leceived from the senders.
