TRIBUTE TO WAR DEAD
SUGGESTION FOR CHRISTMAS DAY (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 21. Mr D. W. Russell, president of the Christchurch Returned Services’ Association, welcoming the men who returned 'on the Mooltan to-day, suggested that the broadcasting authorities should call New Zealand to a moment's silence at 1 p.m. on Christmas Day in remembrance of those who. had. laid down their lives during the war.
