NO ARMS FOR SPAIN

BRITISH EXPORTS PROHIBITED LONDON, Dec.' 19. The Government has decided to prohibit the export to Spain not only of arms but also of goods of a semi-mili-tary character which might strengthen the Spanish armed forces, said the Minister of State, Mr Noel Baker, in the House of Commons. He added that no armaments or warlike stores have been supplied from Britain to Spain since the outbreak of the Spanish civil war.
