SWEDEN’S POLICY
DEVELOPMENT OF TRADE REDUCTION IN TARIFFS (Rec. 7 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, Dec. 14. Sweden has accepted the invitation of the United Nations to attend the International Trade Conference in 1946. Sweden’s policy was for free trade through multi-lateral agreements, and the lowering of tariffs, said the Minister for Trade, Mr Gunnar Myrdal. Sweden’s protective tariffs were already comparatively low, and efforts were being made to decrease some tariffs still lower.
