SURF BATHER DROWNED
MEMBER OF FLEET CARRIER’S CREW (P.A.) AUCKLAND. Dec. 16. While swimming near Lion Rock, at piha, a naval rating, a member of the crew of the British aircraft carrier Indefatigable, was drowned. The man was a member of a party of about 100 members of the ship’s crew-visiting the beach. , , , , , No trace of the body has been found.
