FIFTIETH BIRTHDAY
HIS MAJESTY THE KING CONGRATULATIONS POUR IN (Rec. 1.15 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 14. His Majesty, who was 50 years of age to-day, began the day as usual by working at his desk in Buckingham
Palace. There will be no special ceremonies, as his birthday was officially celebrated in June. There were many callers at the Palace to sign the visitors’ book, and shoals of telegrams of congratulations and good wishes poured into the Court Post Office from all parts of the Empire.
