EARLY SETTLERS’ MUSEUM. Lower High street. Hours: Week days, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors will find the museum a storehouse of interesting relics of the early days': Special mention may be made of the series of paintings of Dunedin by George O’Brien. SCENIC WALK.— From the terminus of the Anderson's Bay tram (No. 5) there is a popular walk along the "high road ” (Highcliff road), which gives many delightful views of the city and harbour. From Highcliff an alternative and attractive return route to the tram is available via Tomahawk. The time required is approximately three hours. There is a cafe at HighART GALLERY.—Logan Park (bus from Jacobs’s Corner). Hours: Week days, 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Sundays, 2 to 4 p.m. The attention of visitors is drawn to a large picture entitled “ 'Twixt Nirht and Day," by Sir William Llewellyn, K.A., which has given much pleasure lor many years. DUNEDIN NORTH. —A No. 2 or No. 4 tram goes to tne entrance of the Lower Gardens, where there is a fine display of roses. By taking the No. 12 tram, visitors may first inspect the Upper Gardens and perhans visit the Tea Kiosk, which is open each afternoon, except Friday. PUBLIC LIBRARY.— Moray place -west. Hours: Week days. 9.30 a.m. to 9.30 p:m.; Sundays, 2 to 5 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. Books on display this week are _ Modern dramatists, general essays, German novels, art of Paul Nash and Meryon, holiday reading, gnd Christmas tradition. OBSERVATION TOUR.—A drive round the harbour bays is available by buses leaving the Queen's Gardens at 2 p.m. to-day and 2.30 p.m. to-morrow. Buses leave for Harrington Point, a trip which takes (he full afternoon, but if a shorter period is available, one may take a time table bus, which leaves every hour, ard spend one or two hours on a delightful scenic road. GOLF COURSE.—The Ocean Eeach municipal golf course, of 18 holes, situated near the terminus of the St. Kilda (No. 7) tram, is available for the use of the public on payment of a small green fee. TEPID SWIMMING BATHS.—Moray place south. Hours for mixed bathing: Monday, noon to 1.30 p.m., 4.30 to 6 p.m., 8 to 9.30 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, 6.30 to 8.15 a.m., noon to 1.30 p.m., 4.30 to 6 p.m., 8 to 9.30 p.m.: Saturday, 6.30 to 9 a.m., 3 to 5 p.m., 8 to 9.30 p.m.: Sunday, 8.30 to 10 a.m. OTAGO MUSEUM.—King street. Hours: Week days, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sundays. 2 to 4 n.m. There is a special exhibit in relation to Captain Cook, together with portraits of him, a large coDy of his man of New Zealand, and several pieces collected by him during ibis voyages in the Pacific. BAND CONCERT.—The Dunedin Highland Pioe Band will give a concert in the Botanic Gardens at 3 p.m. to-morrow (Nos. 2, 4 or 12 trams).
