The department, stated the letter, had recently acauired two areas in North Oamaru, and also had houses occupied in the same locality,'and before proceeding with the development of the new property an apnroach was made to the council on the Question of the inclusion of these lands hi the borough. It was felt that the time mieht be considered opportune to leview the possibilities of a comprehensive boundary adjustment in this locality. It seemed that the logical expansion of the borough was in this direction, and any further expansion of the depaitments activities would certainly be considered 'in relation to the prospect of suitable land being available for development for residential purposes even as far north as R lt C wai e indicated that the maximum exssmrsr# and b to contribute £ISOO towards the imnrnvpment of the roads.
