THE PICCOLO CASE
APPEAL DISMISSED (Special) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 2. The Canterbury District Committee Qismissed the appeal of Mr F. W. Stevens, the owner of Piccolo, against the decision reversing the places of the first and second horses In the Geraldine Cup on the ground of crossing in the straight. C. Stokes, the rider of Piccolo, also lodged an appeal against his suspension for two months, but he later withdrew it.
