CLOUDY AND COLD Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at. 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—A depression is centred in the South Taranaki Bight. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mod-erate to fresh south-westerlies; . weather cloudy and cold, with some brief showers. Further Outlook.—Cold and changeable. Weather in Dunedin.—Almost 12 hour* of bright sunshine were recorded in Dunedin yesterday, but a cold breeze from the north-east kept temperatures low'. The barometer dropped steadily, and at midnight the reading was 29.62 inches (1003 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken yesterday at the Daily
