NEW ORGANISATION
OTAGO MARCHING ASSOCIATION A meeting of representatives of local firms was held in the Physical Welfare Branch’s board room last night to discuss proposals to form a marching and recreational association. Mr H. G. Munro, who occupied the chair, explained the objects of the proposed new organisation which, he said, were to foster and encourage women’s marching and recreational competition. It was decided to form an Otago Marching and Recreational Association, and the following office-bearers were elected: President. Mr H. G. Munro; vice-president, Mr D. O. Cassels; secretary, Mr Hugh Cameron; treasurer, Miss Speller; committee, 10 members were appointed. The constitution was approved, and the programme of activity will be arranged at an early date!
