FINANCIAL DEBATE CONTINUED iF.O.P.R.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. A feature of the financial debate in the House of Representatives to-day was the maiden speech of Mr R. Walls (Govt., Dunedin North), who was applauded both at the beginning and at the end of his address. Other speakers were Mr A. J. Murdoch (Oppn., Marsden), Mr E P. Meachen (Govt., Marlborough), Mr K. J. Holyoake (Oppn., Pahiatua), Mr A. E. Armstrong (Govt., Napier), and Mr W. A. Sheat (Oppn.. Patea). The House rose at 10.30 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. to-morrow.
