FIRE CALLS
At 9.46 a.m. yesterday the City Fire Brigade was called upon to deal with a fire in a destructor chimney in Peter street, Caversham. A call was received at 12.5 n.m. to a residence in Josephine street, Caversham, where the short-circuiting of a wire over a gas pipe was responsible for some damage. At 1.46 p.m. the brigade dealt with a grass and gorse fire at Caversham.
