DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE On the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday 2i per cent. Government Stock, 1940, was wanted at £99 10s. The 1947 issue was sought at £9B 10s, with sellers 10s away, and the 1947-49 issue had buyers at £97. An offer o£ 3 per cent. Stock, 1955-58, at £99 failed to attract a buyer, who quoted £9B 15s. The 1960-63 Stock was wanted at £96 ss, but no seller quoted. Wool Bonds, 1948, were quoted at £1 Os 9d and £1 Is Id. and the 1949 Bends had sellers at £l. Bank of New Zealands were quoted at £2 9s 3d and £2 9s 6d, Commercial Banks at 17s 9d and 18s Id, and Southland Frozen Meats at £2 15s 6d and £2 19s. An offer of £1 7s 9d was made for Wright, Stephensons (ord.), and £1 5s 6d was quoted for the preference shares. Kaitangata Coals were sought at £1 5s 6d, with sellers Is away, and Westporls had sellers at £1 Bs, but buyers did not quote above £1 5s 6d. Bruce Woollens (ord.) were quoted at £1 16s and £1 17s 6d, and Oamarus had buyers at £1 7s 64. Colonial Sugars were sought at £59 ss, and Consolidated Bricks at 9s 6d, with sellers offering at 10s 3d. Other quotations were: Fletcher Holdings (ord.), £1 11s and £1 lls 9d; Macduffs, 16s 3d and 16s 8d; Wcolworths (Sydney), £1 3s and £1 3s 6d—all buyers and sellers respectively. There were buyers of Mount Lyells at £1 6s 9d, and of Mount Morgans at 7s lOd, but no sellers offered. Rawang Tins were wanted at 7s 9d, and Wellington Alluvials at 4s.
