FREE ELECTIONS
MARSHAL TITO’S PROMISE LONDON, June 7. Marshal Tito, speaking at Osijek, promised the Jugoslavs a free election, in which everyone would be able to vote according to his or her convictions, says Belgrade radio. Marshal Tito stressed the need for unity in Jugoslavia, and said: “We snail not persecute the Croats, who in good faith are anxious to serve the country. There is room for all men of goodwill whatever their past convictions.”
