INCREASES IN WAGES An order amending !he wages clauses of the motion picture operators' award has been made by the Court of Arbitration, exercising its powers under the recent amendment io the Stabilisation Regulations. Increases in wages have beer, granted according to the hours of work, ranging from Is 2d a performance in some cases to 10s a week. Operators’ assistants are also to be paid higher wages, the increase ranging from 4s to 10s according to age. The payment for a performance, where such condition of employment applies, has been increased by 9d. Tile new rates of pay are subject to the two cost-of-living bonuses.
