NIGHT SHIFTS
UNION 1 COMPANY’S SHIPS \ WATERSIDERS PARTIALLY LIFT BAN (P.A.) AUCKLAND, May 22. A decision to resume .working night shifts on Union Steam Ship Company overseas vessels has been made by the Auckland Waterside Workers’ Union. The feeder ships operated coastwise by the company to connect with large vessels loading frozen cargo for overseas will now also be worked during the night shift. The union has maintained its attitude of refusing work on Union Company coastal vessels.
