NORTH-EAST HARBOUR
RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION
The annual meeting of the North-East Harbour Ratepayers and Householders Association was held on Monday night. Mr H. A. Foote presided. The annual report stated that the committee had investigated the question of ash removal, but the figures submitted by the Peninsula County Council made it obvious that this service could not-be started at present. The bathing sheds were now the property, of the association and had been renovated The reserve had been fenced and a start made in beautifying it, as well as other places at Macandrew Bay. . h _ It was decided to recommend to tne incoming committee that the Waverley and Broad Bay Ratepayers Association be approached in regard to a proposal to form a borough, to include the residential areas of the three districts. Mr J. Nelson was appointed chairman of the committee for the ensuing year.
