POSTHUMOUS AWARD
MEDAL FOR LATE PRESIDENT (Rec. 9 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 21. The House unanimously authorised the posthumous award of a special medal of honour to the late President Roosevelt after a long discussion in which Representative J. M. Robison (Republican, Kentucky) objected to the award of the Congressional Medal of Honour.
The Democratic Leader of the House, Mr J. W. McCormack, finally agreed to substitute a special medal of honour -for the Congressional Medal of Honour. The Associated Press says it will probably be necessary to strike a special medal.
