PUBLIC NOTICE Of PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF LOAN NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Green' Island Borough Council proposes, at a SPECIAL MEETING to be held in the Council Chambers, Green Island, on TUESDAY, the sth day of June, 1945, at 7.25 p.m. to consider a motion to apply to the Lccal Government Loans Board ‘for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum cf Eight Thousand Pounds .(£8000) for the purpose of carrying out improvements to streets, including the construction of concrete kerbing and channelling and the asphalting of footpaths. The security for the payment of the annual loan charges in respect to the proposed loan will be a spfecial annually recurring rate of 3d in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of the Borough of Green Island. IT IS PROPOSED THAT SUCH RATE BE NOT COLLECTED, but that the annual loan charges be provided for out of the Public Works Vote in the General Account. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Green Island Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting. R. J.
