UNDESIRABLE ALIEN
BUND LEADER TO BE DEPORTED RUGBY, May 18. Fritz Kuhn, once the “Fuhrer” of the German-American Bund, the 2 000,000-strong Nazi organisation m the U.S.A., is being sent back to Germany as an undesirable alien by the United States Department of Justice, says an agency message. He will be put into the hands of the United States military authorities to deal with as they think fit. Aged 49 and six feet tall, Kuhn was born in Germany and went to the United States in 1927, where he whs falsely naturalised. In December, 1939 he was sent to Sing Sing Prison for larceny and forgery, and in 1943 was transferred to an internment camp. Kuhn’s brother was a judge in Nazi Germany.
