WAGE NEGOTIATIONS
AMERICAN COAL MINERS STALEMATE REACHED (Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Apl 6. The soft coal wage negotiations collapsed to-day. Mr John L. Lewis, president of the United Mine Workers’ Union, attempting to avert a complete break, secured an adjournment until Saturday, but the operators announced they were not attending. Instead they will report to the War Labour Board that proceedings have reached a stalemate.
