MILK SUPPLY

MUNICIPAL CONTROL A policy statement on the control of milk vending .and distribution was made* by Cr D. C. Jolly, chairman of the Milk Committee, at last night s meeting of the City Council. A letter was received from the secretary ot the Central Milk Council in Wellington, asking for an expression of opinion on the constitution and area of control of the local milk authority. Cr Jolly said it had been decided at a meeting of interested parties an representatives of local bodies affected, that the Milk Council in Dunedin should consist of seven members, four of whom would represent the City Council, and three the boroughs of St. Kilda West Harbour, and Port Chalmers.’ The Mosgiel and Green Island boroughs could join the scheme if they desired. ___
