PRESENCE RESENTED
CROWN PRINCE AT MASS (Rec. 8.45 p.m.) LONDON, Mar. 25. Crown Prince Umberto’s presence at a Requiem Mass in Rome for 340 Italians whom the Germans shot aroused a hostile demonstration. When Umberto, as a lieutenant of the realm, took his seat on the golden throne near the altar a woman shouted, “Assassin,” and a number of people left the church.
