COOLER TEMPERATURES Forecast for Otago. The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—There is a deep depression south of New . Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate to fresh north-easterly winds, changing to south-westerly later; . weather fair at first, but showers and cooler temperatures accompanying the wind change. Further Outlook.—Scattered showers, but improving. Weather in Dunedin.—Changeable conditions prevailed on Saturday, several hours-of sunshine following light showers in the early morning. There was a light breeze from the south-west. Yesterday was mainly fine, after s few heavy showers in the morning. There was a moderate north-easterly breeze and temperatures remained mild. The barometer showed a rising tendency, the midnight reading being 29.81 inches (1009 millibars).
